My 15 year old grandneice is visiting me - so in downtime when we are not walking around town exploring or driving to tourist locations - or in coffee shops each with our own online social networks (that sometimes overlap on facebook) and blogging activities - we are going to work on a crochet project using some of my novelty yarn stash. I hope to record the progress here and on ravelry (as well as facebook where her parents and aunts can take look as well).

We will also read Amy Swenson's "not your mama's crochet" and debbie Stoller's "Happy Hooker" as we make up our own design and end product.
